New Nobility Band Profiles

NewNobility has taken the indie charts by storm across the globe with Galactic from their newest album BLUE BUTTERFLY (REVOLUTION). Following on with their second track from their EP, the title track "Blue Butterfly (Australia)" pays homage to their Wide Brown Land. "Let's Make A Better World" leans more towards an 'every man's' pop rock sensibility.

New Nobility is an apt name for a band who delivers a 'breath of fresh air' rock sound. Melodious rock like this doesn't often come from Australian shores - and how the US and UK are taking a shine to these fine musical craftsmen on a clear mission. They have won numerous awards including the Music Aid Award for "Best Band 2007" in the U.K. and the World Peace and Music Award in India. Steven Tyler - The Early Faves on American Idol

Despite less-than-stellar initial ratings, "American Idol" is coming out of the blocks for its 10th season with something even more important than audience share, particularly for a reality show hitting late middle age, and that's buzz. With a format that is well-beyond familiar by now, the injection of fresh blood via new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez has amped up the watercooler talk for a show that some had predicted was on the decline. Despite fears that the show would stumble without the harsh guiding hand of departed go-to judge Simon Cowell, MTV News' , said instead of mourning the loss of King Cowell, he's praising the rise of Tyler.

"If anything, Steven Tyler's wacky addition proved that it's not a 'mean judge' that keeps me jazzed for 'Idol.' It's an unhinged one," said Cantiello about the entertaining, unpredictable shenanigans pulled out by Tyler in the first two nights of audition episodes this week. "Truth be told, I never realized how much I missed Paula [Abdul] last year. Tyler's colorful language, zany metaphors and deafening jangly man-jewelry was just the entertaining wild card the two-night premiere needed to give it a must-see facelift."

Cantiello was glad that the new trio, which also includes sole returning judge Randy Jackson, didn't fall into the same old "mean Simon" and "too-nice Paula" tropes. Lopez easily mixed Abdul's sweetness with an undercurrent of Cowell's honesty, while Tyler deftly pinwheeled between wacky Paula-isms amid stinging putdowns. And already he's delivered one of the season's top lines in his zinger to belcher Michael Perotto courtesy of "Tommy Boy": "Did you eat a lot of paint chips as a child?"

MJ Santilli, founder of one of the leading "Idol" blogs, MJsBigBlog.com, agreed with Cantiello, calling Tyler the "breakout" star on the show so far. "The new panel seems to be having a blast," she said. "Fun has been sorely missing from the judges' table the past couple of years. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez's enthusiasm has energized Randy Jackson. The fresh, new panel has me not missing Simon Cowell at all. Yet." Tyler is juggling many projects, including serving as talent judge on American Idol, working on new material with Aerosmith, and writing his autobiography Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? The Secret Behind Disturbed’s Success

Disturbed drummer Mike Wengren says the secret behind Disturbed’s success is simple: the band’s albums contain no “filler songs.” “That’s not the way we go,” Wengren told RockAAA.com. “We feel like every song on the record could be a single, and our fans know that. They know when the buy a record of ours they are going to get a full package, they know we won’t let them down and they don’t let us down either. Our fans are very loyal and very passionate about us.”

Wengren went on to say Disturbed has been quick to embrace new recording technologies. “Technology as a whole has come up a long way, and that’s one of the reasons, after 10 years, we decided to remix, remaster and re-release The Sickness,” he said. “Back when we recorded, there was a lot of different ways of doing things, and we thought we wanted to bring it up to speed with everything else.” Yep, that's the secret behind Disturbed's success. Arin Ilejay - The New Drummer of A7X

Avenged Sevenfold have named former Confide drummer Arin Ilejay as their new sticksman. The Californian metallers said that the drummer was recommend to them by their longtime drum tech Mike Fasano. Ilejay replaces former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, who left the band's set-up in December. Portnoy had been filling in after the death of the band’s founding drummer, Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan, in December 2009.

“We recently asked several friends who knew Jimmy [Sullivan] and his style, and also knew our music and each of our personalities to suggest drummers to tour with us starting this year," the band said. "Our longtime studio drum tech, Mike Fasano, recommended Arin Ilejay.”

On December 16, 2010, Portnoy announced via Facebook that he would no longer be working with A7X. The band posted a statement on their website on December 17, 2010 stating that Mike Portnoy will not be their replacement for The Rev. A new, yet unnamed drummer has been selected for trial during the shows in 2011 to potentially become a permanent member. Avenged Sevenfold will perform at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals on June 3–5, 2011 alongside other bands such as Alter Bridge, System of a Down, and In Flames. Source: NME.Com

Atreyu Taking a Long Break

Atreyu have announced they are to go on hiatus for the foreseeable future. The California hardcore band, who have released five albums, made the announcement via their Twitter page, Twitter.com/atreyuofficial. Atreyu took to Twitter on Thursday to make a significant announcement: the band is going on indefinite hiatus, effective immediately. And while we managed to say that in under 140 characters, it took the band four tweets to get across their message.

The band stated: "Atreyu is taking a long long break after 11 years of rocking." However, they stressed, "We aren’t breaking up."

They added: "We aren't writing, recording or touring for a while, simply taking a break to recharge and focus on different parts of our lives."

We'll summarize for you -- Atreyu is not breaking up, however after 11 years of going at it, they need a break. Recharge the batteries. Attend to their personal lives. And work on individual side-projects which, of course, they encourage their fans to discover and explore.

"Thanks to everyone who has supported us and given us a reason to exists over the past 11 years," they write. "We hope to see you again one day..."

Ditto.

Atreyu released their latest album 'Congregation Of The Damned' in 2009, and were in the UK in December supporting Bullet For My Valentine on their arena tour.

What Do You Think About Paramore’s “Last Word” Interview?

However we've already learned that Hayley will address the fact that many of the lyrics from Brand New Eyes are about Josh Farro. Hayley openly admits that "a large majority of those songs, yes, have to do with the relationship [she and Josh] had and then that [they] had to mend." She adds that "it was really hard, because [they] were all friends, and then going through a breakup and going through any kind of tension as a band really affected all the lyrics." Of course Hayley is referencing the known fact that she and Josh dated in the past.

Hayley said that "there are a lot of specifics that [she] pulled from [her] experience with just feeling like [her] face was under a boot all the time." To further clear things up, Hayley emphasizes that she didn't write the lyrics to bring attention to her own situation; rather, she just wanted to offer encouragement other people going through similar situations. Overall, she says that about what she's been through in regards to these lyrics, "it just sucks to feel kind of victimized."

After Paramore’s “Last Word” interview, they had already discussed their reactions and responses to the Farro brothers’ “Exit Statement,” plus revealed how the inner-workings of Hayley Williams’ and Josh Farro’s relationship made their way onto the band’s Brand New Eyes album. So now, the only thing still left on the table was their inevitable return — and, as you can probably expect, this was the topic they had been waiting to weigh in on the entire time.

Because, really, Paramore have already begun to put the Farros behind them, with a tour of South America scheduled for next month and a batch of demos in the hopper. And, as they told us, fans are going to be hearing new material from them a lot sooner than they probably realize.

“We will definitely release songs [in 2011],” Williams said. “Who knows if a full album will come out of it? But obviously we’d love that. It would be fun. We definitely want to put stuff out for our fans to party with us.”

And those new songs are already shaping up to be unlike anything the band has done before, which is inevitable, really.

“The thing is, we’re going to be different. We lost two really big parts of this band, so it’s going to be different, but we’re still Paramore. We’ve all written together before, so it’s not like we’re losing our style. We’re not going to become an R&B/soul/funk band,” guitarist Taylor York laughed. “We’re more excited than ever. And we’re not going to put out something that’s not good. Next year, when we say we’re taking time off, it means we’re writing until we have something that’s great. And we’re not going to stop until it’s great. Of course, Josh and Zac were a really big part of the band, so people are going to miss them — it’s natural — but, we’re here now.” And though they’re moving on, Paramore will be the first ones to admit that, when they take the stage again, things are going to feel a little different. They’ll be doing it without two of their founding members, only one of whom Williams mentioned, of course.

“I’m really going to miss Zac [Farro] a whole lot. Zac is one of my favorite drummers in the world, [and] he has been since I was 13 years old. That’s really going to suck. But I don’t want him to ever not be happy. And, if he stayed, for me to turn around and see him not happy, that would suck worse than not seeing him at all. That will be the hardest part to get used to,” she said. “I mean, yes, Josh Freese [who will man the kit on their South American jaunt, is an] incredible drummer. I think he’s the best guy we could’ve gotten to come do this tour with us, but no one will ever replace Zac in my heart. Zac is one of my favorite people.

“And you know what? Yeah, it will suck, but I think that now that we are so unified that the three of us know exactly what we’re doing, we want to be here so bad, and I think that’s going to feel really good, to know that we’re not dragging anyone around, we’re not making anyone do anything they don’t want to do. That’s going to be exciting,” she continued. “And I guess I don’t have any regrets about it. I just feel like, ‘Let’s just start this new chapter already,’ because it can only be great. We’re not going to let ourselves not be great.”

After the Farro brothers' abrupt departure from Paramore, the remaining members candidly opened up about the collective's past, present and future during. And after weeks of largely being in the dark about the true nature of the split because of competing statements from both sides, fans were glad the interview finally answered several lingering questions. So, What do you think about Paramore’s “Last Word” interview guys? Source: MTV.COM

The Visual Version of Pi and Unemployment

Hello guys, now I'd like to share about the visual version of Pi and unemployment.

The Visualizing Pi
Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It's always the same number. For the sake of usefulness people often need to approximate pi. For many purposes you can use 3.14159. Many formulae from mathematics, science, and engineering involve π, which makes it one of the most important mathematical constants. Look at the Visualization of pi below. Yeah, that's so cool!

The Foo Fighters New Album "officially done"

The Foo Fighters have finished work on their seventh studio album, according to a post on the group's Twitter account Tuesday. "Ladies and gentlemen ... we are officially done. Champagne, anyone?," said the post, which was accompanied by a shot of frontman Dave Grohl holding a bottle of bubbly alongside band and crew.

The as-yet-untitled 11-song album, due out in the spring via RCA Records, marks the follow-up to 2007's "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace." Four new songs -- "Back + Forth," "White Limo," "Dear Rosemary" and "These Days" -- were previewed during a secret show in Los Angeles last month.

Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic appears on the track "I Should Have Known," while Husker Du/Sugar frontman Bob Mold guests on "Dear Rosemary." Grohl has described the album as the band's "most rocking record yet." The Foo Fighters will return to the stage May 27 at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Wash. The group will then play headlining and festival dates in Europe through early July.

Adam Levine Nude in Cosmopolitan UK

Anne Vyalitsyna, Russian model and girlfriend of pop rock Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine. In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK, you can see Levine posing nude. His girlfriend Anne is covering his private parts in the photo, working with the charity Everyman to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer in men.

The latest album of Maroon 5 “Hands All Over” was released in September 2010. In the latest shoot for Cosmopolitan, Adam Levine has only the hands of his girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna all over his private parts. Dating a Victoria Secret model was something he fantasized about as a teenager.

Anne Vyalitsyna was born on March 19, 1986, in Soviet Union. She also known simply as Anne V, is a clothing and swimwear model. She is perhaps best known for her ongoing six-consecutive-year run of appearances (2005 - 10) in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

According to Modelinia.com, She’s keeping the details a secret for now, but apparently Anne Vyalitsyna is sporting a brand new hair style! On January 4th, she teased her Twitter fans with a quick comment that read, “New year new haircut - check!” and followed up today with a few additional morsels of information. Anne spent today on set, which she described as, ”one of the most exciting days of her career.” Exactly what she’s shooting will remain a secret until April, but her new cut is enjoying its very first photoshoot.

In September 2010, Levine said on the Howard Stern Show he had been dating Anne V seriously for about eight months. The couple met when Maroon 5 performed at the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue release party in Las Vegas. The Russian model, also appeared on various magazine covers including; Glamour, Vogue, Gloss, ELLE. She also worked for singer Alanis Morissette who featured her in the music video “Out Is Through.” Adam Levine also thought his girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna would look good in the Maroon 5 video “Misery.” When Cosmopolitan asked Levine if he is jealous, what seems to be common if a man has a sexy girlfriend like model Vyalitsyna, he responded: “When I was a teenager I hated everyone. But now I don’t consider myself to be a jealous person I’m pretty easy going and secure in myself.” Sponsored: Anne Vyalitsyna Hot Photos.

The Majority' Of Paramore's Brand New Eyes Is About Josh Farro

In his "Exit Statement" from Paramore, Josh Farro made one thing abundantly clear: There was a lot more going on behind the scenes than most fans were aware of. Of course, in their interview with MTV News — which you can see more of in Paramore: The Last Word," — the remaining members of the band addressed most of his charges (not surprisingly, they don't agree with most of them), but in kicking up all that dust, Farro may have unwittingly also revealed the biggest secret of all: that the majority of the songs on Paramore's 2009 Brand New Eyes album were about him.

Up until he released his statement, most fans assumed that the lyrics on songs like "Playing God" ("It has to be so lonely/ To be the only one who's only") and "Ignorance" ("Where's your gavel, your jury/ What's my offense this time?") were Hayley Williams' way of telling off nameless naysayers and faceless detractors. But now, it's pretty apparent that they deal almost exclusively with her relationship with Farro — and if you're still not sold on that point, well, she'll tell you herself.

"I would say that a large majority of those songs, yes, have to do with the relationship we had and then that we had to mend," Hayley Williams said. "And it was really hard, because we were all friends, and then going through a breakup and going through any kind of tension as a band really affected all the lyrics. ... There are a lot of specifics that I pulled from my experience with just feeling like my face was underneath a boot all the time. "I think the point of the album was never to point out those things, but hopefully to encourage people who feel that way," Williams continued. "Because I felt so alone in that fight, that I would never want, especially another young woman, to feel that way, because I know there are a lot of girls I've talked to, fans, go through the same thing in relationships and families, and it just sucks to feel kind of victimized."

Killswitch Engage’s Justin Foley To Drum On

UNEARTH have posted the following update online: “We wanted to let everyone know that tracking for the new album has officially begun! We're currently at Zing Studios in Westfield, MA tracking drums with our sit in drummer for the album Justin Foley of Killswitch Engage. Foley was an obvious choice for this album for many reasons, but mainly because of his abilities and knowledge of heavy music as well as his long-time friendship with the band. A decade plus of friendship has made this an easy transition for the band, Foley and our producer/engineer Adam D.

In 2010, Killswitch Engage contributed the track "My Obsession" to the God of War: Blood & Metal soundtrack. The band were later added as late replacement to 2010's Download Festival in June, after original sub-headliner, Wolfmother could not attend as scheduled. Killswitch Engage is currently working on their sixth album for release in 2011.

A7X's M.Shadows Damaged Voice

Avenged Sevenfold singer M Shadows says that being driven on by fans' passion during live shows has hurt his vocal cords – and sometimes he has to force himself to stay calm in order to avoid doing more damage. Speaking to NME in a video recorded during A7X recent UK tour with Stone Sour and Hellyeah, the M.Shadows discussed the aftermath of having had a throat infection and vomiting ahead of a concert in Brighton.

"I'm really concerned about my voice. I need to make sure I go out there and don't hurt myself and have to cancel more dates," Shadows says. "On a normal night I listen for how loud the crowd goes when the lights go out. It's always cool – it's about to go deep-sh*t. But it's about staying calm in my own mind and not worrying about how much the kids are giving me."

Meanwhile, the frontman has paid tribute to drummer Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan a year after he died. Sullivan passed away at home in California on December 28, 2009 after taking an overdose. But Shadows says he wants to remember his bandmate’s life rather than his death. The singer tells Kerrang: “It’s a daily struggle. There are good days and bad days. Days where you don’t think about it so much, then days where you just sit there and can’t believe it. “We’ll celebrate his birthday on February 9 and not his death. We’ll get together, watch his tribute video and talk about him – we do that every day anyway. I want to remember the guy for how awesome he was.”

Portnoy will join Morse in New Project

With all the will-they-won’t-they news about an impending announcement from Dream Theater regarding the identity of their new drummer, one could be forgiven for losing track of outgoing drummer and founding member, Mike Portnoy. But Portnoy has surfaced at the dawn of the New Year with a major announcement of his own, as he will be joining Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse in a brand new project.

The as-yet-unnamed project will also include multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse (Spock’s Beard), vocalist Casey McPherson (Alpha Rev, Endochine), and bassist Dave LaRue, who plays with Steve Morse in the on-again-off-again Dixie Dregs.

Neal Morse spoke to Blabbermouth about the collaboration:

“We're all excited about the project, but it is a bit of a mystery as to what will come. The vision is to do something a little more song-oriented and not quite so riffy, as one might expect, but still, of course, having the musical elements that people like Steve Morse, Dave LaRue, Mike Portnoy and myself can provide.”

As for the timing, Morse says the band hasn’t committed to anything resembling a release date: “We've mapped out about 10 days [in the studio for the project's first session]. We'll see what happens and see how much we can get done. If we can't get the basics down enough for an album then we'll have to continue on later. Everyone's schedules are a bit in flux and they’re very busy people, so I don't know how long it will take us to actually finish and release the record.” Source: Blabbermouth.net

Seether New Album in May

During a recent interview, Seether guitarist Troy McLawhorn and drummer John Humphrey confirmed the band will be releasing a new album titled "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray" in May. The first single from the album, rumored to be titled “No Resolution” is due out in March.

“I think with this next album, the whole experience has been more about all of us contributing,” Humphrey told Honolulu Newspaper The Star Advertiser. “[It] sounds much more like a unified band. I’m excited for people to hear it.”

As for the album’s titled, McLawhorn joked that it was only fitting that the album have a long title considering the band’s last album, Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, also had a rather long title. “Yeah, the next one’s gonna be even longer!” says McLawhorn. “(“Holding Onto Strings…) is actually a lyric from an important song on that album,” adds Humphrey.

As for the sound of the album, bassist Dale Stewart says “I think all of our stuff, you can definitely tell it’s us. It’s not night and day. We still have that signature sound. When we spoke about the last album, we thought that was the best one that Seether have done … up until then. There was a lot of pressure on us to get a little bit better again, but I think we have on this one.” Source: MTV.COM

Today’s entry falsely claimed Lavigne was on a Whistler snow trail (not even open at that time) with Brody Jenner (who is at the beach this New Year’s weekend, not the mountains).

The fake claims about Avril Lavigne hit as Lavigne debuted her new song. Fans are praising the track on Facebook Sunday.

Since 2009, fake celebrity death reports have become more frequent, more encompassing, and faster spreading. Initially spread via message boards in 2009, such reports spread quicker in 2010 via the popularity of Twitter. But as the fake reports grew, their lack of originality remained unchanged . Whether it’s Nick Jonas in 2009 or Lavigne in 2011, celebrity death reports generally start with a vacation spot, add a fake crash, and usually insert a vehicle like a train, plane, or car.
