Coldplay has announced that the Brit band's fifth album is titled Mylo Xyloto and it will arrive in stores in the States on October 25 (and October 24 overseas). The title is pronounced "MY-lo ZY-letoe" according to a note on the Coldplay website. The band also announced the next single from the record will be "Paradise," following the current hit "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall." The track will be released September 12.
According to Coldplay.com, "Mylo Xyloto was produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson with enoxification and additional composition by Brian Eno. The album will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats. A special limited edition Pop-Up Album version will also be available, which will include a 12" x 12" hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and exclusive content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and the band's personal notebooks."
In a new interview with Billboard, frontman Chris Martin says the band has yet to finalize the sequencing for Mylo Xyloto. He says, "At the moment we have a group of songs there's sort of three different routes from beginning to end, and I'm a little bit lost today on what to leave off." Source: FMQB
